Below are pictures of our 2009 lambs. All lambs for this season have been sold. However, we are selling some of our proven ewes as "bred ewes". They will lamb in April 2010. Check them out!

Fortunately, "Dirty Sally" waited for our April snow storm to pass before being the first to lamb in 2009. At dawn on April 8 Sally had twin ram lambs in the pasture, unassisted.

Dirty Sally with her twin ram lambs -- one day old and out on the pasture. Both are Black with Gray pattern. They were sired by our ram Festus. Both look a lot like mom with the black stocking feet and black heads.

One of Sally's twins seems to have bushy white eyebrows .

This ram lamb of Sally's has a large black spot on its back.

Again this year, Oksana had triplets, unassisted. She was mated with our ram Matthew. Her lambs were born the afternoon of April 8. She had two ram lambs and one ewe lamb. The lambs are white with brown wool on the legs.

Oksana's ewe lamb is shown here, resting in the morning sun at a bit less than one day old.

Here are Oksana's ram lambs. The one in the foreground is mostly white.

This is Oksana's second ram lamb. He has more brown wool than his brother.

Millie had twin ewe lambs on April 9, unassisted. One, shown here, is white. The second ewe lamb shown next is solid black. Millie was bred with our ram Festus this year.
This is Millie's black ewe lamb. Her sister is peeking around Mom in the background.
Kitty had twin moorit (brown) lambs this year. Both are sturdy, healthy ram lambs. Their sire is our ram Matthew.
Here Kitty and her ram lambs taste a few of last year's tree leaves.

Netta had twins this year but one was stillborn. Her ewe lamb, shown here, seems to be eating enough for several lambs. Netta's ewe lamb is a black mouflon pattern, like mom. Her sire is our ram Gus.

I think Netta's ewe lamb wants a closer look at the camera.

Netta's ewe appears to like her photo taken.

Yes, she does like her photo taken. She's not shy!

Our ewe Merry, shown here, was bred with our ram Gus. This is Merry's moorit (brown) ewe lamb.
Merry's ewe lamb has a darker brown outer coat with a lighter brown inner coat. I think her wool fleece will look something like her father's (our ram Gus) as it grows out.
